From garage rock roots to an audience of 88 million, Ben Scott-Brandt thrives on creativity and collaboration.
Ben is a multi-instrumentalist who has written, recorded, and produced a dozen independent albums, scored shorts and full length films, and composed custom music for television. His ear for detail and his thorough professionalism are consistent across a wide variety of settings, including acting and editing for select projects.
Raised by music-loving parents who met on a choir tour, Ben’s childhood was spent singing in church and around the family piano. Punk and folk sounds informed his early writing, and as his ear developed, he began to recruit ensembles of untrained local musicians to explore improvised and unexpected arrangements of his original folk-pop and ambient pieces. Expanding into other genres led to experimentation with recording and with digital instruments.
The hallmarks of Ben’s recordings are expertly layered sound environments and natural, flowing compositions.
